Overview
Garrett specializes in estate planning, including trust formation and drafting wills, powers of attorney, and advance directives. His estate planning practice also involves advising clients on tax matters concerning their estates, including Private Letter Ruling requests and Form 706 Portability Requests. He also works within the firm's business practice, focusing on transactional matters, such as acquisitions and sales of businesses and real estate.
Garrett is originally from Dexter, Missouri, but has practiced in Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA. He has lived in Festus since the Spring of 2025. Before joining the firm, he worked for a boutique real estate and tax law firm in Atlanta, GA, where he represented tax credit syndication clients in their investments in low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, and solar tax credit-producing real estate. He also dealt extensively with secured debt transactions, corporate fund structuring, and mergers and acquisitions. Before Atlanta, Garrett worked for a major accounting firm in Dallas, Texas.
